2026 Novice Challenge
Novice Challenge will be held during the May Madness show, April 29-30, May 1,2 & 3
RULES
Must be a NCHA and AzCHA member
Each division can be entered as long as they qualify through NCHA guidelines
Ride any horse
One go round prior to shootout
All money earned applies to NCHA LTE
Top 2 from each division go to the shootout
If a person has qualified in more than one class, they can choose which class they want to represent and then the next highest money earner will go to the shootout.
Changes in 2026 The Novice Challenge 3 Divisions:
$500 Novice Challenge is now $1,000
$1,000 Novice Challenge is now $2,000
$2,000 Novice Challenge is now $4,000

Awards: Tres Rio Silver buckles awarded to Champion and Reserve Champion in each class
Overall champion with highest score during the finals receives a trophy
